Description
Founded in 1953, Cantina della Vernaccia is the main cooperative winery of the Oristano area. Sardinian producers favour working as a cooperative to maintain the quality and consistency of their wines from harvest to harvest.
The territory in which the contributors operate is the Sinis and the lower Torso valley. The vineyards therefore extend from sandy soils rich in salts closer to the Sinis coasts, refreshed by the breezes laden with marine aromas that blow from the Gulf of Oristano, to those more fertile from the overflow of the Tirso river, which are characterised by silt and clay mixed with sandy fractions.
