Description
When two family businesses came together in the 1970s to create the Meckenheim winery, there was no question of its name, as both families had the same surname: Braun! Now related by marriage, the winery has been very much a family affair for three generations, with a passion for producing quality wine and seeing the fun in everyday life.
‘We live with the wine and for the wine’. Every member of the Braun family works with their hands, heart and soul to achieve the best possible results, now headed by brothers Michael and Martin. Their long-held belief that respect for nature is a prerequisite for first-class wines underpins everything they do, from easy-drinking, uncomplicated wines through to those with a strong character for special occasions. Every detail of the winery is carefully considered, from cultivation of their idyllic vineyards to the stylish vinotheque design – which is named among the top 30 in Germany.
